Dr. Bavaro made me feel very comfortable and assured me that he would get to the root of my problem. I was having problems with my knee. He sent me for some tests and revealed a torn meniscus. He was very easy going and easy to talk with. He listened to everything I had to say and then asked me questions. I am scheduled to get it repaired, and should be back playing tennis shortly! I’m very thankful to him and his office staff for helping me out.

Dr. Bavaro is an excellent orthopedic surgeon. He has been instrumental in helping me get back to doing the activities that I was not able to do with my injury. I have to say that having Dr Nick Bavaro as the surgeon to my hip replacement and arthritis issues in both hips was the excellent choice! Dr. Bavaro took great care in my examinations and explained the procedures, in detail, both in the office and again before both surgeries. My surgeries and follow up exams were without issue. I was always asked if I had any questions, and never felt rushed as you sometimes are with doctors on their busy schedules.

Dr. Bavaro He is such a nice man, loving and cheery personality. EXTREMELY thorough and knowledgeable. He takes his time with his patients and doesn't rush through things. He reassured me several times and discussed every detail with me. I felt comfortable the whole time during the consultation and I am so grateful that I was able to get an appt with him. He is also the most humble man that you will ever meet! He is world renowned, the hip replacement guru,the king and you would never know.

I cannot believe there aren't more amazing reviews here! This is the best Orthopedic Dr I have ever seen and due to polio I have been seeing orthopedic hip surgeons for 60 years! He is a wonderful surgeon and he really cares about his patients. He has done my hip and has cared for me twice with broken legs due to trauma. Dr Bavaro is widely respected in the medical community.

There are 2 elements to turn a sports injury into a positive: 1) Work w/ a great doctor, 2) Be a good patient who wants to get stronger. I tore my meniscus this fall. For a month, I couldn't walk. Dr. B was able to extract the damaged meniscus. He checked on me after the surgery and told to my husband and myself about what he saw and emphasized that exercise was key. The next day, I walked and have followed PT and more exercise each week. I would recommend Dr. B w/out reservations.

Dr. Bavaro was the surgeon on call when I had emergency surgery. He was thorough, professional and caring. He carefully explained the options and his recommendation. He completed the operation and everything that he had recommended worked out exactly as he explained it. His follow up was equally excellent, and due to his professionalism and expertise, everything has worked out as well as it could have. A big thank you to Dr. Bavaro!

Finally a doctor who listened to what I had to say and took everything I said seriously! My knee had been bothering me for over a year and now I'm on track to feeling better! I had a total knee replacement and am feeling wonderful! A year ago I could barely walk and now I'm back to playing golf and tennis and am pain free. Dr. Bavaro helped me get my life back!

Dr. Bavaro performed an ACL surgery on me. He informed me what to expect before and after. He approached me at the bed side before surgery and made me feel at eased. I'm very pleased. My knee is almost the same as it was before my injury. my recovery was a breeze. I recommend anyone including my family to doctor Bavaro!

I saw Dr. Bavaro about a knee tear- he first suggested to get a MRI to confirm grade of tear and draw a conclusion. A week later I went back for a followup to discuss my options - he suggested I try physical therapy first to rectify the issue and if that didnt work could discuss other options. Let me say this most Dr's now a day's would opt for the surgery right away to make as much money as possible well NOT Dr. Bravaro. I would highly recommend him to anyone as his ethics come b4 his pocket!

Our experience with Dr. Bavaro began with him agreeing to stay in his office so our injured soccer-playing daughter - arriving from her college by train - could see him for an emergency appointment. That gesture alone was more than we could secure from two other doctors who we had previous experiences with. And then he saw her. His treatment, understanding, support and care were unbelievable. He was sensitive, honest and direct and most importantly, made her feel understood and helped her understand her condition. Perhaps most impressively, he introduced perspective, reminding her that this experience and how she'd cope with it was a larger life test and lesson. It wasn't easy - for him or her - but we and she are grateful for it. Sadly, as health care has forced so many doctors to concentrate on how to make a living rather than how best to care for patients, this approach seems to be a lost one. Dr. Bavaro is an exception and exceptional.

I am an active mother of young children. My hip had been bothering me for several years. I had seen two other orthopaedic surgeons who said I need surgery to fix the problem. Before going under the knife, I met with Dr. Bavaro, to get one last opinion. His name was given to me by several friends, all of whom thought he was second to none. When I met with Dr. Bavaro, he gave me several options, the last of which was surgery. I was very happy with the length of time he spent with during my appointment and the way in which he explained things to me. He makes jokes and made me feel very comfortable. His Physician's Assistant was also very knowledgable and professional. My hip finally feels better after additional PT, an at-home stretching regiment, some anti-inflammatories, a few more office visits to Dr. Bavaro! I will continue to recommend him to my friends and family!!

Dr. Bavaro was very helpful in diagnosing a problem I have been having with my knee. It feels like it just gives out. Had surgery on it in the past, and was thinking I might need another. Dr. Bavaro gave me other alternatives and my knee feels much better. Highly recommend!

Dr. Bavaro provided excellent care for my mom when she had knee replacement. She speaks English as a second language, but he made sure she understood everything. He also explained everything to us. He took a lot of time with her and she decided to have him replace her knee. After the surgery, she was up and walking very quickly and she is not pain free!! We are forever grateful!

Dr. Bavaro repaired the ACL on both of my son's knees. I feel he was personable, professional, and knowledgeable. His staff is okay. I am not crazy about the other practice that he merged with, although I think he pulled them out of a failing practice. Considering this is Rockland county and not New York City, I think Dr. Bavaro did a good job on my son.

My mom, 76, had her hip replaced by doctor Bavaro. This is amazing - she was released back home from the hospital 2 days after the surgery. One week after she started walking without a cain! For the comparison - my mom has 2 friends who underwent the same type of procedure (one in Detroit, one in Germany). In both cases they had to stay for 3 weeks in the rehab center and definitely were under more pain and stress. Dr. Bavaro performs these magic surgeries in a small hospital in Dobbs Ferry, where every single person from a doctor to a security guard treats you as a friend. We were very happy with that facility, and, believe me, I had quite a lot of experience with hospitals in my life. During the office visits, Dr. Bavaro is very professional and caring. He is not in a rush, like so many other doctors. He spends adequate time with patient, answers all questions and explains things well, even if he's asked to repeat it over and over. You can spend some time waiting for the doctor to see you during the office visit, but it's understandable in my opinion. Oh, I forgot. My kid once had a fractured wrist. Dr. Bavaro did his X-rays and gave him a cast. This probably was not a rocket science, but still the experience is positive. I and my wife were happy with the procedure. Thank you, Dr. Bavaro!

As a tennis teaching professional, I have had several sports related injuries over the years, and although I have tried many other orthopedic surgeons, including many affiliated with professional sports teams, I can unequivocally say that Dr. Bavaro is the best!
